JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for an experienced Tax Accountant to support our multi-family office, on a contract basis, by managing tax compliance and planning for family principals, trusts, and closely held entities. The role involves developing tax-efficient strategies, ensuring compliance with tax laws, and collaborating with internal teams and external advisors to deliver integrated financial solutions. This contract position will focus on delivering high-quality tax services during peak seasons and special projects. The ideal candidate will bring a detail-oriented approach and an understanding of the unique needs of our families.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for family principals, trusts, partnerships, and closely held entities.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws, regulations, and deadlines.
- Provide proactive advice on the tax implications of investment strategies, estate planning, charitable giving, and other financial decisions.
- Support estate planning efforts by preparing tax projections for gifting, generation-skipping transfer tax, and other wealth transfer strategies.
- Manage compliance with estate, gift, and trust tax reporting requirements.
- Collaborate directly with family principals to address personal tax matters, such as residency, foreign income, or complex financial structures.
- Conduct tax research to address unique client circumstances or special projects.
- Work closely with internal and external advisors to ensure integrated financial and tax strategies.
- Prepare detailed tax summaries and reports for family principals, ensuring clarity and transparency.

REQUIRED SKILLS
- 5+ years of tax-specific experience. Income tax experience is a plus.
- Prior Family Office or relevant public accounting experience.
- Highly self-sufficient with an ability to prioritize.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- CPA or LLM.
